Job Description:As the General Manager, you will be responsible for driving profitability for one RaceTrac store and leading up to 45 employees. You will continually deliver on RaceTrac's mission of making people's lives simpler and more enjoyable through a focus on friendly service, food execution, cleanliness, building talent, and driving success.Responsibilities:Friendly

• Establish an environment of prompt, efficient, and courteous service and effectively engage in conflict management.
• Lead and maintain positive, professional relationships with co-workers, direct reports, guests, and vendors.
• Communicate respectfully and foster a team-oriented store culture.
• Manage and resolve guest concerns promptly, involving regional team members as necessary.
• Complete guest transactions efficiently at the cash register or self-checkout stations, and suggest complementary products.Food
  • Drive excellence in food service by executing designed processes, setting goals to increase sales and margins, ensuring product quality, and utilizing training resources.
  • Ensure all food offerings are available and that preparation areas and equipment are clean and well-maintained.Clean
    • Maintain high standards of store cleanliness.
    • Adhere to all RaceTrac, federal, state, and local safety and food safety regulations.
    • Execute shift duties, uphold presentation standards, and represent the RaceTrac brand.Building Talent

        • Manage inventory and the distribution of materials, merchandise, and supplies.
        • Review financial statements, sales reports, and performance data to measure productivity.
        • Identify operational improvement opportunities based on market trends.
        • Develop and maintain vendor relationships for efficient deliveries.
        • Ensure effective communication within the store team.
        • Utilize company tools to coach, mentor, and develop a high-performing team.
        • Ensure compliance with risk management standards.
        • Create or approve staff schedules considering sales volume, team member availability, payroll, and overtime.
        • Participate in hiring, provide feedback on interviews, and develop managers on hiring processes.
        • Develop and monitor management and staff performance plans.
        • Follow proper procedures for hiring, promotions, and separations.
        • Ensure all team members have valid licenses as required by law.
        • Understand budget and cost trends, working proactively to improve sales and financial health.Qualifications:
          • Proven successful retail management experience preferred.
